Unlike traditional suspension seat posts, the STRATOSeat™ utilizes a patented variable ratio floating suspension system to absorb vibrations and shocks before they reach the rider.

The STRATOSeat™ works by canceling out vibrations in the shock absorber between two moving arms – a unique process based on Newtonian physics. This means that equal amounts of vibrations enter from both sides, so none are transferred from the bicycle or saddle to the cyclist.

Conventional suspension seat post designs, however, only have vibrations entering from one side. This can overwhelm materials such as springs, coils, and dampening materials, resulting in a slow rebound and an uncomfortable pogo-stick-like riding experience.
